The Executive Vice President of the Republic, Delcy Rodríguez, held a working meeting with the co-president of the High Level Intergovernmental Commission (CIAN) for Russia, Dmitry Chernyshenko, to strengthen cooperation between both nations in different areas, according to the website of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
During the meeting, which took place on Saturday, September 28, they announced that preparations are already underway for the next session of the CIAN, which will be held later this year in Caracas.
“It is Venezuela’s turn this year, reviewing the different areas of cooperation, how we have been deepening it and how we can expand it and we review the details and the subcommittees that must meet in each of the spaces of Russia-Venezuela cooperation,” explained the vice president. .
Likewise, Rodríguez, who is also co-president of the CIAN for Venezuela, expressed that the ties between both nations are advancing unstoppably, as has been achieved in recent years in areas such as science and technology, health, energy, financial and cultural.
“We have a very clear program with instructions given by President Nicolás Maduro and that these also intersect with the instructions of President Vladimir Putin so that our countries, two extremely important actors in the energy world, can also expand their cooperation in different sectors such as It has been done,” he said.
Since the beginning of the CIAN, Venezuela and Russia have held important bilateral meetings for more than 20 years, with more than 340 instruments signed in various sectors for the benefit of both peoples.
