With the purpose of coordinating bilateral and multilateral cooperation between Venezuela and Russia, the Foreign Minister of Venezuela, Yván Gi, held a telephone conversation with his Moscow counterpart, Sergei Lavrov.
This was made known by Gil in his Telegram account, where he also thanked Lavrov for the support, and of course the Government of the Russian Federation, “for the new mandate of the President Nicolás Madurowhich will begin next January 10.”
Russia has been a great ally of the Bolivarian Revolution, to which it has always provided great support. In this sense, the president of the Eurasian country, Vladimir Putin, was one of the first leaders to congratulate his Venezuelan counterpart on his re-election.
Likewise, it is convenient to remember that Caracas and Moscow maintain intense cooperation, which is evident through the numerous agreements that the parties have signed in energy, oil, tourism, culture and education, among other areas.
