This weekend Havana received a donation of ten Moskvich cars from Russiaaimed at strengthening health and education services in the Cuban capital.
Governor Yanet Hernández Pérez thanked the contribution and highlighted that it is part of the tradition of solidarity support from Russiareferred the Cuban News Agency.
The cars will be distributed among pediatric hospitals such as Juan Manuel Márquez, William Soler and the Centro Habana Pediatric Hospital, as well as clinical-surgical centers and the “Comandante Eduardo Bernabé Ordaz” Psychiatric Hospital.
They will also be allocated to the General Directorate of Education in the province, to support the logistics of educational institutions, the newspaper noted. Granma.
Serguei Parkhomenko, first counselor of the Russian Embassy in Havana, highlighted the importance of the gesture as an expression of the friendship between both countries.
For his part, Sergei Baldin, Russian commercial representative on the island, recalled the tradition of Russian automotive supplies to Cubaincluding minibuses, trucks and trailers for different sectors.

The shipment was announced last May by Serguei Sobianin, mayor of Moscow, during President Miguel Díaz-Canel’s visit to Russia.
