In order to review the progress of the bilateral agreements that will be signed next December, Foreign Minister Carlos Faría met in Moscow with the Deputy Prime Minister of the Government of the Russian Federation and Co-Chairman of the High-Level Intergovernmental Commission (CIAN) Russia-Venezuela, Alexander Novak.
This was announced by the foreign minister through his account on the social network Twitter, in which he published “In the framework of the Energy Week of #Russia, we held a fraternal meeting with the Vice President of the Government of the Russian Federation, Alexander Novak. It has been an extraordinary opportunity to share visions and strengthen the progress of joint projects”.
Specifically, and according to official information, the progress of the agreements that both countries advance and that are expected to be signed during the next meeting of the CIAN, which will take place in Venezuela on the 13th and 14th, was reviewed during the work session. December 2022.
It also highlights that the foreign minister has held binational meetings and participated in forums, activities among which the meeting with his Russian counterpart, Sergei Lavrovin which they addressed issues related to the dynamic development of political dialogue and practical cooperation, within the framework of the binational strategic association between Caracas and Moscow.
The Venezuelan delegation accompanying Faría is made up of Jesús Salazar, Venezuelan ambassador to Russia; Hipólito Abreu, Minister of Popular Power for Industry and National Production; Yvan Gil, Vice Minister for Europe; Asdrúbal Chávez, president of Petróleos de Venezuela (PDVSA); Yomana Koteich and Astrid Da Costa, from the Ministry of Popular Power for Petroleum and Freddy Baptista, corporate manager of the PDVSA presidency.
