The Mexican Football Federation announced this Tuesday that for a year Querétaro will play its home games closed doors and will pay a fine of one and a half million pesos, about 75,000 dollars, for the acts of violence last Saturday during the match against the Atlas.
The assembly of club owners also decided to remove the affiliation to the Querétaro board, which was given the match lost against Atlas by 0-3.
The president of the Mexican Football Federation, Yon de Luisa, commanded the meeting of the leaders of the league, which confirmed the veto of the Gallos ‘bar’ for three years at his team’s stadium and one in away games .

“The Atlas Animation Group is prevented from attending the games played by the Club, as a visitor, during the next six months, that is, from March 8 to September 8, 2022,” the Federation announced in a release.

Although the Government of Querétaro assures that there were no deaths, the images of violence are extreme, with radicals insisting on hitting rivals when they were defenseless.
The assembly passed surrounded by expectations due to the possibility that Querétaro would be excluded from the league or the leaders would determine the prohibition of the ‘bars’, which are regularly involved in acts of violence in the stadiums.

In the last few hours, 10 people were arrested in Querétaro for their alleged participation in acts of violence and were brought before the courts.
According to the prosecution, they must answer for possible crimes of attempted murder, in addition to violence in sporting events and advocacy of the crime.
The president of the Mx League, Mikel Arriola, pointed out that anyone who is found guilty of having participated in acts of violence will be banned for life in Mexican soccer.
