Russell Crowe returns to the Roman Colosseum

New Zealand actor Russell Crowe He is today in Rome with his family, with whom he has posed in front of the Colosseum, joking about his famous performance in “Gladiator”, the film with which he achieved international fame.

“Taking the kids to see my old office,” the actor wrote on Twitter, appearing with his family in front of the largest amphitheater in the Roman Empire. The actor also posted on the social network an image of the Trevi Fountain, which he described as: “One of my favorite places in the universe.”

Crowe has traveled to Rome to prepare for his role in Australian director Julius Avery’s new film “The Pope’s Exorcist,” according to Italian media.

This new thriller will follow the story of Italian priest Gabriele Amorth, probably the most famous exorcist in the world, with a 30-year career fighting the devil, who died in 2016 after practicing more than 100,000 exorcisms.

Crowe, one of the most popular actors of recent decades, achieved international fame for his role in “Gladiator” (Gladiator, 2000), for which he won the Oscar for best actor. Crowe began his career in the 1980s and has won numerous awards for his performances including the Golden Globe, the Screen Actors Guild Award and the British BAFTA.

In his long career, films such as “The Insider” (The dilemma), “A beautiful Mind” (A wonderful mind) or “Robin Hood” stand out, while in recent years he has starred in great blockbusters such as the new installment of Marvel “Thor: Love and Thunder” (Thor: Love and thunder).
