Rural electrification projects delivered in Samaná

The minister of Energy and Mines, Joel Santosdelivered this weekend four projects of rural electrification in the Samaná province, with a positive and direct impact on 179 homes and 537 people residing in the Sánchez municipality and the Arroyo Barril municipal district.

  • The favored communities are Callejón Los Hernández, in La Garita; the Tiola and La Funeraria alleys, in the municipality of Sánchez; as well as Callejón del Dajao and Calle Pepe, in Los Róbalos, where medium and low voltage electrical networks were extended, poles, transformers, home connections and LED lighting were installed.

During the delivery ceremony, Saints stated that the strengthening of electrical service in those territories represents a before and after for the families who reside in each of the aforementioned communities.

He stressed that the electricity transcends infrastructure and translates into everyday well-being in areas where Rural Electrification Directorate carries out installations or reinforcement of networks.

Project details

The project included the placement of 86 posts of prestressed concrete, the laying of 3,911 meters of power lines with AAAC conductors and triplex cable, the installation of three transformers with a total power of 240 kVA, the connection of 181 home connections at 120 volts and the placement of 55 LED luminaires for public lighting.

The governor of Samaná, Teodora Mullix Geraldino, stated that the benefited communities They feel proud, since it has been taken energy electricity to areas that previously lacked service or received it poorly.
