Restrictions on political propaganda
In accordance with current legislation, from zero hour on Friday, November 22, all forms of proselytizing propaganda will be prohibited in the media, public spaces and digital platforms. This measure includes the suspension of events by candidates or political parties and the dissemination of surveys or content intended to influence the electorate. The restriction will be extended until one hour after the closing of the electoral circuits, scheduled for 7:30 p.m. on Sunday.
Regulation of alcohol sales
Another of the usual restrictions in each election refers to the sale of alcohol, regulated by Law 7,812. According to this regulation, the ban will begin 24 hours before the closing of the electoral circuits, that is, from 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, November 23, and will remain in place until the end of election day.
Although this measure limits the trade of alcoholic beverages, it does not prevent their consumption in private spaces, as long as it is not related to a commercial transaction. The purpose of this rule is to avoid situations that could compromise the development of the electoral process.
