Gregorio Salazar Hernández, a control judge residing in the Altiplano prison, obtained a suspension granted by a collegiate court. The robe was pointed out in one of the morning conferences to order the release of José Alfredo Cárdenas Martínez, The Accountantboss of the Gulf cartel and nephew of Osiel Cárdenas Guillén.
The twentieth court in administrative matters ordered the Attorney General’s Office (FGR) not to violate the judicial independence, honor and reputation of the judge.
The effects of the suspension are for the FGR to eliminate from X the messages it published last December 3 to criticize the resolution with which it granted the freedom of Cárdenas Martínez.
You must also remove the press release from your website, since “more than informing the public, its purpose is to attribute to the judge – without any objective basis – an alleged violation of the certainty of his judicial decision under the consequence of holding him to criminal proceedings for said decision, which tends to affect the human rights and guarantees of judicial independence, personal integrity, honor, reputation and presumption of innocence of the complaining party.”
The judge ordered the FGR to publish the public version of this ruling in the respective accounts on platform
In case of reporting and giving an opinion on the resolutions issued in pending trials; They must carry it out in accordance with the duties of truthfulness, objectivity and impartiality, without making subjective evaluations, attacks, insults or insinuations of illegality that affect the honor of the judging person, since said objective criticism must refer to the content of such determinations based on arguments legal.
The judge added in his ruling that the FGR must refrain from materially prejudging and, consequently, exerting undue media pressure on the judge’s respective cases that are in process.
