Mexico fell two positions in the Global Rule of Law Index 2024 going from position 116 to 118 of the 142 nations analyzed.
This index, created by the World Justice Project, gave Mexico a rating of 0.41 points where the closest to 1 means a stronger rule of law.
In comparison with other Latin American economies, it is observed that Mexico only obtained better results than Bolivia, Nicaragua, Haiti and Venezuela.
Highlight that Venezuela It ranked last among the countries analyzed, where the least adherence to the rule of law is observed.
The index collects current data on eight factors that frame the concept of adherence to the rule of law: limits on government power, absence of corruption, open government, fundamental rights, order and security, regulatory compliance, civil justice and criminal justice.
