RPM: "As the Nation's prosecutor, Benavides cannot declare any resolution of the JNJ null and void"

In “No Script”, Rosa María Palacios referred to the investigation that the JNJ initiated against the prosecutor Patricia Benavides.

Within the framework of the preliminary investigation of the National Board of Justice against Patricia Benavides for movements in the special team Cuellos Blancos, Rosa Maria Palacios He referred to the heated speech that the National Prosecutor gave in response.

“This (the investigation) provoked the ire of the prosecutor of the Nation, who appeared in an audiovisual and the key is the beginning, because she says ‘I just learned’. When one has just learned, it is better to let it rest for 24 hours and then you react,” he said.

“She is furious and screams. In addition, she has said that the resolution of the JNJ is invalid, illegal. Be careful, it is a preliminary investigation, they have not subjected her to any disciplinary procedure and as a prosecutor of the Nation she cannot declare any resolution of the JNJ. She agrees to submit to the disciplinary procedures of the JNJ, which, I repeat, in her case have not started,” he added.

Regarding this, he made reference to the publication made by Ojo Público a few months ago about a document confirming that prosecutor Benavides appears in telephone conversations with Antonio Camayo, investigated for the Cuellos Blancos case: “What did Mr. Camayo have to talk about with Mrs. Benavides?” Palacios said.
