The royalties paid by companies in the sector hydrocarbons The State added US$995 million between January and November, reported the National Society of Mining, Petroleum and Energy (SNMPE).
The union specified that the accumulated 11 months represented a drop of 8.8% when compared to the same period last year when oil and gas companies deposited US$1,091 million to the State.
Likewise, he specified that companies that operated in the hydrocarbon industry paid US$76.8 million in November in royalties, an amount that was 23.2% lower than the US$100 million registered in the same month of 2024.
“Companies in the hydrocarbon sector paid royalties: US$40.2 million for the exploitation of natural gas and US$13 million for oil; as well as US$23.5 million for the production of natural gas liquids,” said the SNMPE.
LESS PRODUCTION
The union’s data reveal that the production of oil and natural gas liquids registered drops of 19% and 1.3%, respectively, compared to the penultimate month of 2024. As for natural gas, it fell 9% in the analysis period.
On the other hand, investments reached US$331.8 million between January and August, an amount that was 7.6% lower than that recorded in the same period of 2024. In the eighth month alone, the disbursement amounted to US$51 million.
