Roxana del Águila would have accelerated the denationalization of Roberto Siucho thanks to ‘Chibolín’

New chats involving Andres Hurtadothe soccer player Roberto Siucho and the former head of Migration Roxana del Águila, would reinforce suspicions about an alleged influence peddling network in the ‘Chibolín’ case.

These dialogues, disclosed by Fourth Estateare part of the Prosecutor’s Office investigations and provide new elements of conviction in the case.

The record of the chats comes from the cell phone of soccer player Roberto Siucho, who delivered the device to the Public Ministry on September 10, as recorded in a delivery document.

During the investigation, Siucho, who for a time went by the name Xiao Taotao after obtaining Chinese citizenship, declared that he visited Roxana del Águila at her home accompanied by Andrés Hurtado to expedite her Peruvian denationalization, a procedure that, according to the athlete, was resolved in a single day.

In a chat with Hurtado, dated January 2020, Siucho expressed: “Uncle, how are you? I hope very well. I tell you that I am officially Chinese. I wanted you to know. I will be eternally grateful to you!”.

The recovered messages cover a period between January and July 2020. Among the contents, conversations about alleged additional favors, mentions of other people involved, and the management of benefits stand out.

In another passage of the chats, dated February 2020, “Chavito” is mentioned, a police officer who would have acted as an intermediary.

According to an interview report by Siucho, he would have given 10 thousand dollars to “Chavito”, who would be the non-commissioned officer Jimmy Arroyo Mendoza, at the direction of Hurtado to facilitate the management of the denationalization.

Additionally, in one of the chats, a BMW model 135 is mentioned, which belonged to Edison Flores and later became the property of Siucho. According to his statement, he delivered the vehicle to Hurtado as part of an agreement:

“Hurtado told me: ‘Like when you needed help, I helped you, and now that I need your help, you can’t.’ He made me feel pressured, which is why I told him that I have a vehicle that I would not use because I was already going to China and I gave it to him so that he could sell it,” stated Siucho, according to the Sunday newspaper.

The vehicle was never sold, but Hurtado used the resource to promote the Respira Perú campaign, organized in July 2020 to raise funds in the fight against Covid-19.

However, in June 2020, the chats reflect that the relationship between Hurtado and Siucho deteriorated after an incident related to prosecutor Elizabeth Peralta, nicknamed “mother” by Hurtado.

In his last recorded message, Hurtado asked the footballer to contact him via Telegram, after which communication ceased.
