The head of the Federal Intelligence Agency (AFI), Agustín Rossi, affirmed this Saturday that after the discovery of the missile in the Los Hornos neighborhood of La Plata, it will be possible to “clearly know the truth” about the theft of these materials, which occurred in 2015 in the Armored Cavalry Cavalry Squadron 1 of the Army located in the town of Arana, near La Plata.
“As soon as the missile was found, the truth will be clearly known.. It was a robbery with which it was sought to generate an internal political impact in the Army and damage the Ministry of Defense. It was a criminal act that did not have a pecuniary purpose,” said Rossi – who at the time was in charge of the Defense portfolio – in statements to AM 750 radio.
The military missile was found last Thursday while municipal workers were “unseating” tasks in the town of Los Hornos.

Agents from the Explosives Brigade of the province of Buenos Aires detonated the missile yesterday afternoon while the case is in the hands of the federal judge of La Plata Alejo Ramos Padilla.
Meanwhile, Rossi recalled that the disappearance of the missile in 2015 during his administration as head of the Defense portfolio “was clearly used by the opposition to ridicule and harm him.”

Also, Rossi stressed that he was found “four or five kilometers” from the regiment where he was stolen. and maintained that “it was clearly a robbery” although he considered that he does not believe or have the elements to affirm that “it was programmed”.
