The city of Rosario woke up again covered by the smoke generated by the burning of grasslands on the Entre Ríos islands on the Paraná River, for which the Road Safety authorities asked drivers to increase caution due to poor visibility on streets and highways. Medical consultations due to respiratory difficulties continue to rise, according to official sources.

The main focus of the fire is in front of the Santa Fe town of Pueblo Estherlocated on the outskirts of Rosario and due to the wind, the smoke spread rapidly towards the city.

For this reason, Road Safety spokesmen asked drivers to maintain all care in the Circunvalación and the accesses to Rosario in order to avoid accidents, since visibility is greatly reduced.

In addition to this, the National Meteorological System (SMN) reported on Tuesday about the presence of fog banks in the region, which make driving conditions even more difficult.

For its part, from the Environmental Observatory of the National University of Rosario (UNR) they remarked that, before the advance of the smoke, the consultations of inhabitants for breathing difficulties multiply.

Days ago, national deputies that make up the Natural Resources Commission met in the Deliberative Council of the city of Rosario to discuss projects on the environment, accompanied by organizations from the sector.

The objective of the meeting was to advance on proposals that make up a new wetlands law, which protects the region coexisting with business developmentas reported.
