The spokesperson for the Nicaraguan regime, Rosario Murillo, announced that this coming Monday, May 1, will be a national holiday in “celebration of International Workers’ Day”, as established in Law No. 185 of the “Labor Code”.
“On the first of May we will be celebrating ourselves as all workers, protagonists of the president people in all entities, institutions, delegations, companies, in all entities where we recognize ourselves as worthy Nicaraguans by the grace of God,” the vice president said this Tuesday. during his customary address.
“The Ministry of Labor is precisely issuing, the fellow minister has submitted to Commander Daniel the declaration of a mandatory national holiday with the right to rest and salary for all workers in the country, in accordance with article 66 of the Labor Code,” Murillo said.

“We have a long weekend and the first we are going to be gathered together, celebrating not only the first of the month of May, International Workers’ Day, but the first day of that period to celebrate our heroic heritage and the triumph of our Sandinista Popular Revolution,” he added.
Rosario Murillo, in her appearance, also took the opportunity to attack the Nicaraguan opposition, whom she called “traitors” and “cowards.”
“We know that traitors and cowards are referents of an ancient history, here we are creating new times in the homeland, courage, national dignity, a victorious future, and another May Day in victories,” said the second in command of the Nicaraguan dictatorship.
