Rosa García: We were not missing

Rosa García: We were not missing

“We were not disappeared,” declared Rosa García, one of the organizers of the spiritual retreat attended by 16 people in the mountains of La Grita (Táchira).

Those attending this retreat belong to movements of the Catholic Church that decided on their own to participate in this activity, between August 22 and this Thursday, September 8, when they returned with the help of the Cicpc, Civil Protection and other security agencies, according to what is heard in the testimony.

“We were not missing, we were on a prayer retreat praying the rosary, asking for the holy mother church, for the pope,” Garcia said through a video released by the general commissioner, Douglas Rico, director of the Cicpc. “Thanks to the Governor and all those who were concerned about us,” said Garcia, surrounded by several of her religious brothers.

“Our Constitution establishes freedom of worship and religion,” Rico clarified. “My call is to make good use of social networks and not generate so much fake news that they put the population in anxiety,” she said.
