Rosa Bueno is elected president of the Lima Chamber of Commerce

The Lima Chamber of Commerce (CCL) reported this Wednesday that the associates, in an ordinary general assembly, elected Rosa Bueno de Lercari as president of the institution for the period 2022-2023, replacing who served in the position from October 2020 to April of this year.

With her appointment, the lawyer becomes the third woman to occupy the presidency of the CCL. The first to take this position was Graciela Fernández Baca in the period 2004 and 2006; the second was Yolanda Torriani, who assumed the presidency during 2018-2020.

The elected president will be sworn in next Wednesday, April 20.

Trajectory of Rosa Bueno de Lercari

Bueno de Lercari is a lawyer graduated from the Pontificia Universalidad Católica del Perú (PUCP), an expert in Competition, Compliance and Arbitration.

Besides, is a founding partner of the law firm Bueno Lercari Consultores, recognized by the Chambers and Partners and Leaders League Directories. She also received the IWEC Award for female entrepreneurship in 2013.

He has collaborated with the CCL since 1998. He has chaired the International Treaties Commission, representing the institution in the negotiations of the FTAA and the Free Trade Agreements with and the among others.

She was part of the Board of Directors of the CCL in the period 2008-2009 and today she is the president of the Competition and Regulation Commission of this institution.

Subsequently, he chaired the Superior Arbitration Council of the CCL Arbitration Center for the period 2017-2020, leading the creation of the Transparency Lighthouse, a digital platform that allows preventing conflicts of interest in arbitration.

He has integrated the directories of Procapitales, the Peruvian Association of Intellectual Property and the Peru-Chile Chamber of Commerce, as well as that of various local companies.

She currently represents the private sector before the National Commission for the Defense of the Consumer of Indecopi and was the Technical Secretary of the Commission for the Repression of Unfair Competition of the aforementioned institution.

New Board of Directors

In said assembly, The members of the new Board of Directors were also elected, which will be made up of Jorge von Wedemeyer and Guillermo Grellaud, among others.who will have the functions of first and second vice president, respectively.

The Lima Chamber of Commerce added that Rocío Lockett was elected treasurer.
