After the victory at home, Galo reached the 7th position with 55 points, the same score as the sixth-placed Athletico-PR. Dourado, on the other hand, remains in danger of falling to the second division. With the setback, Cuiabá remains in 16th position with 38 points, three more than Atlético-GO.
Atlético-MG’s victory was built with two goals by Keno in the first half and one by the Chilean Vargas in the final stage.

Another team to win in the round to stay alive in the fight for classification for Libertadores was Botafogo, who beat Santos 3-0 at Nilton Santos.
