Ronaldo’s business is in danger

El negocio de Ronaldo corre peligro

It has come up for Ronaldo a last minute problem in the acquisition of the Brazilian club Cruzeiro. The current president of Real Valladolid presented new points to close the purchase of the club, but the current directors do not agree with the terms presented by the former player.

three months ago signed a preliminary agreement for the purchase of 90% of the Sociedad Anónima de Fútbol Cruzeiro (SAF). Now some small details remain to be resolved between the two parties due to the new demands proposed by Ronaldo, according to Globo on its website.

The Brazilian businessman would invest R$ 400 million in the club during the first two years according to the statement published by Cruzeiro last December 2021. However, other terms are reflected in the contract:

“The proposed operation consists of the commitment of the Strategic Partner to contribute to SAF a total amount of R$ 400 million as follows: first R$ 50 million contributed by the Strategic Partner to SAF, R$ 35 million as incremental income that will be generated for SAF and/or in contributions to be made by the Strategic Partner”.

DefinitelyRonaldo is required to invest R$ 50 million in SAF, on the date of signing the documents, in cash and the transfer of 90% of the company’s capital to his property. While the rest (R$ 350 million) linked to “incremental income” will be calculated based on the average income recorded by Cruzerio between 2017 and 2021. If the SAF does not reach that amount, it would force the Brazilian businessman to make investments this year.
