Some days ago, Ronaldo Nazario took 90% of the shares of the Cruzeiro club, that is to say, he became the head of the Brazilian club. The former Real Madrid player spent about 62.5 million euros, 400 million reais, but that amount could increase in the coming months.
The president of Cruzeiro, Sérgio Santos Rodrigues, assured in an interview with Blue Mafia TV that the club will have to pay a debt of R $ 50 million (7.7 million euros) to FIFA although Ronaldo will bear the amount out of his own pocket.
“He (Ronaldo) will pay the debt. In theory, the deficit belongs to the association but you have to pay if there is no football. Next year we will have another large outlay for the signing of Rodriguinho, which was bought and once again was not paid. If I was not wrong, they are more than R $ 30 million“said Sérgio Santos Rodrigues.
The Brazilian team has a debt of R $ 20 million for the transfers between Riascos, with Mazatlán, and Arrascaeta. To that amount must be added the R $ 30 million from Rodriguinho, who is now playing for Bahía. Therefore, the debt amounts to R $ 50 million.
“As a Cruzeiro fan and current president, Ronaldo as an investor and you as fans, we want to ensure a smooth operation next year, without delays in salaries and sanctions in FIFA. It is the investment made over time that will guarantee our sports performance in 2022 ”, concluded the president of Cruzeiro for Blue Mafia TV.
