The Chilean Public Ministry believes that the ruling party has its share in the death of Ojeda. At the end of January he made public that a witness pointed to Diosdado Cabello, current Minister of Interior and Justice, as the person who commissioned and paid the crime.
The government of President Gabriel Boric endorses the prosecution’s thesis and has already said that will resort to the International Criminal Court (ICC) If hair participation is confirmed.
“The Prosecutor’s Office has serious criminal indications so far (…) there are at least three testimonies, plus other indirect evidence, indicating that members of the organization were in direct contact with Venezuelan political or military authorities,” added the lawyer on an investigation that It is reserved and that extended for six more months.
