Venezuelan outfielder Ronald Acuña Jr. seemed to show signs of recovery after a difficult month of July, and with two hits in five visits to the plate, he was the protagonist this Saturday in the victory of the Atlanta Braves 2-5 over the Miami Marlins .
Acuña, born 24 years ago in La Guaira, completed his eighth game with at least one indisputable in the 11 games his team has played in August.
The man who occupies the first place in the Braves batting order has already four games with two or more hits. And he has managed to reach the bases in nine of those challenges.
Acuña has an on-base percentage of .396, which he has taken advantage of to contribute seven runs to the Atlanta team. In July he shot just 21 hits in 96 at-bats (.219).
So far in August, he has signed 15 hits in 44 at-bats, which gives him an average of .341.
With two doubles and a home run, junior has driven in five laps, an amount that could be more, but his leadoff status means that many of his hits come without runners on the trails. Which limits his opportunities to drive in races.
His speed on the bases has also been highlighted, since he has arrived safely the three times in which he has gone to steal bases.
