Given the employment gap that exists for young people, the Romero Foundation will grant 800,000 scholarships for those who have just completed high school and have not yet found employment, as well as for fourth and fifth high school students.
These opportunities are part of the Trades Academy program, which is virtual and free, and offers specialized, practical and certified training by the Peruvian University of Applied Sciences (UPC).
The purpose is to provide concrete opportunities so that more young people are prepared, in the short term, to enter the world of work and thus build a better future for themselves and their families.
The scholarships are delivered in an alliance with the Ministry of Education (Minedu), and the Ministry of Labor and Employment Promotion (MTPE).
Likewise, the courses are aligned with the most in-demand occupations identified in the MTPE’s Demand for Occupations in Peru 2024 report, including administrative, commercial, accounting, operations, customer service, cash and financial services assistance.
CONSTANT SUPPORT
Through Grupo Romero Scholarships, more than 1.8 million scholarships have already been awarded, representing more than four million hours of training in key courses such as digital skills, innovation, business and leadership.
These trainings were for Peruvians in a state of vulnerability, and their purpose is to enable them to achieve greater job opportunities.
