Santo Domingo.- The president of the Presidential Commission to Support Neighborhood Development, Rolf Rojas, carried out a tour of the community of Villa Los Peloteros, to follow up on the families that are being mobilized regarding the houses that will be demolished to give continuity to the construction of the Los Alcarrizos Beltway.
Rolfi Rojas assured that his presence in the area is due to the government that is committed to speeding up the movement of those who live in the more than six kilometers that will house the aforementioned road, since the expropriation of the land and the transfer of people They are one of the challenges that have delayed the work.
“From the Government headed by President Luis Abinader, we are committed to ensuring that the families that deserve to be transferred for the execution of the works and infrastructures that are being carried out, receive decent treatment, while the process is carried out in a consensual manner and with their due compensation”, explained the official when talking with the community members.
He said that without a doubt the Los Alcarrizos Beltway translates into advancement and well-being for the residents of the municipality and all of Santo Domingo Oeste, since by putting an end to vehicular chaos, the day-to-day life of those who enter and leave the peak hours for work obligations, saving time and money.
The work, carried out by the Government through the Ministry of Public Works and Communicationswill benefit more than 500,000 inhabitants in, thanks to the decongestion of vehicular traffic so demanded for years.
Rafael Santamaría, on behalf of the neighborhood association together with its organization secretary, Sarah Gertrudis Ogando, expressed that this visit reinforces the interest shown by the Government headed by Luis Abinader in promoting the development of the neighborhood.
During the working day, the vice president of the entity, Héctor Luis Bautista, the person in charge of the Department of Neighborhood Development, Nacho Chávez, and the commissioners of the territory also participated.
