During his first government report, carried out in the Frontón México, Rojo de la Vega highlighted that Cuauhtémoc is one of the districts that contribute the most in terms of property.
“I will present an initiative so that they return at least the property tax, a percentage of the water. That they do not take away the payment of the property tax. Cuauhtémoc must be the second or third municipality that pays the most and everything goes to the City government,” he noted.
The mayor considered that the budget assigned each year is insufficient to meet the needs of the district, so she announced that she will soon meet with the Budget and Finance commissions of the capital’s Congress to manage more resources towards the 2026 economic package.

During his speech, he also recalled that this year the Congress of Mexico City approved an initiative to increase penalties for the crime of extortion, a proposal promoted by his administration.
A week after the murder of the former mayor of Uruapan, Michoacán, Carlos Manzo, Rojo de la Vega asked to observe a minute of silence in memory of the mayor and the municipal presidents who have been murdered in the performance of their duties.
“For the lack of action and complicity with organized crime, for the women, children, men who have lost someone in this country bathed in blood, which hurts us, a country that does not give up and that refuses to get used to living in fear,” he said.
Rojo de la Vega said that this minute of silence was also addressed to all the families who have lost someone, victims of violence throughout the country at the hands of organized crime.
Isabel Diaz Ayusopresident of the Community of Madrid and right-wing politician in Spain, sent a video-recorded message in which she recognized Rojo de la Vega’s work in this first year of administration.
“Mexico needs leaders like her, just as the world needs the Mexican, Spanish vision of seeing life, just as Ale does, defending freedom and life. It is not easy to carry out that work in a country where violence is a serious structural problem,” he said.
Among those attending Alessandra Rojo de la Vega’s first report were Jorge Romero, national president of the PAN; the PAN governor of Querétaro, Mauricio Kuri; the PRI mayor of Monterrey, Adrián de la Garza; deputies and senators of the blue and white, leaders of the PRI and the Citizen Movement and opposition mayors, as well as Cecilia Ríos, a searching mother, and Nadine Gasman, Secretary of Health of Mexico City as representative of the head of Government, Clara Brugada.
