“The last three years have presented me with challenges in the form of injuries and surgeries. I have worked hard to return to my best competitive version. But I also know the capabilities and limits of my body, and his message to me was clear. In his farewell message, Federer thanked his wife, his children, his sponsors, coaches, the team in general and especially his fans for their support.

The winner of 20 Grand Slam tournaments declared that it is time “to enjoy his family”.
The Laver Cup will be his last professional tournament
Through the statement Roger Federer reported that his last professional tournament will be the Laver Cup, to be held from September 23 to 25, 2022.
In the competition, which will take place at the O2 Arena in London, Federer will share a team with other greats of the sport such as Rafael Nadal, Novak Djokovic and Andy Murray.
