Alberto Rodríguez Saá, announced that the candidate for governor of San Luis for the sublemma of the ruling party in the next provincial elections will be Jorge Fernández, mayor of the town of Tilisarao.
The announcement was made by the governor himself on the Channel 13 newscast, and he defined Jorge Fernández as a “good family man”, a “Creole” capable of “having bridges” and getting away from the “crack”.
“Jorge is a person who is going to generate a great change, responsible and when we were political adversaries, he knew how to be very respectful and knows how to listen,” Rodríguez Saá added.
In addition, he stressed that a mayor and from the provincial interior is what San Luis needs to direct the directions of all San Luis.
Who is Fernandez
Jorge Omar Fernández, 63 years old, is the communal chief of the town of Tilisarao, located 120 kilometers from the capital of San Luis, until today he was on leave from his position since he had been serving since January 2021 as minister of the Superior Court of Justice, the highest judicial body of the province.
Previously, He was Minister of Public Works and Secretary of State of the different governments of the current governor and twice provincial senator for the department of Chacabuco.
Rodríguez Saá today called elections for the next June 11 for the different provincial positions under the Lemas electoral system. It remains to define who will be the other sublemmas that would compete on the list of the Justicialista Party.
