The first vice president of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV), Diosdado Cabello, together with the vice president of Communication and Electoral Affairs of the PSUV Jorge Rodríguez, the state liaison Pedro Carreño and the governor Gerardo Márquez, swore in this Saturday the street bosses , community and the Bolívar-Chávez Battle Units (UBCH) of Trujillo state.
From the Bolivarian Dome of the city of Valera, Cabello pointed out that leaders must practice a collective direction, “leadership is earned by hand, with work and dedication. The leader must be at the forefront,” he said.
He indicated that one of the fundamental tasks of the party is voluntary work, where each citizen participates spontaneously and gave the example of the Military Community Brigades for Education and Health (Bricomiles), with the work of recovering public spaces.
The vice president of the red awning invited the elected leaders to adapt to the new era, to the transition from socialism, in which the PSUV must be at the forefront in the construction of a great social machinery and stressed that for this it is necessary to add, unite and organize
“You have a commitment to the people. We have full faith that with your election in the base structures we enter a new phase of the Bolivarian Revolution”, she emphasized.
Strong men and women
For his part, the Vice President of Communication and Electoral Affairs of the Psuv, Jorge Rodríguez, was moved to see the faces of the “strong, rebellious, libertarian women and men” of the state of Trujillo, of the strength and determination of struggle and combat of attendees at the swearing-in ceremony.
“I am, just like you, deeply proud to be a member of the party that was founded by the greatest man this Republic has known in the last 200 years, I am deeply proud to be a member of the party that my commander Hugo Chávez founded,” he extolled. .
In his speech, he highlighted that since the creation of the PSUV bases in 2007, 9,575 street, UBCH and community authorities have emerged, distributed among 7,049 street chiefs, 637 UBCH chiefs and one thousand 789 heads of community.
“That means that there is not a corner of the Trujillo state (…) where there is not an authority elected by the people of Trujillo from the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (…) it is the true, socialist democracy, of the people and for the people of Trujillo ”, he expressed.
Rodríguez called on those present to listen and attend to the needs of the people, “always accompany and put on a smile (…) let go through all the streets and neighborhoods of Trujillo, to bring the good news of freedom in socialism of this independent and sovereign homeland ”.
Bolivarian hurricane active in Trujillo
The state liaison of the PSUV, Pedro Carreño, highlighted that for the internal electoral process, more than 140,000 people were mobilized to vote for street bosses, more than 146,000 participated in the voting for community heads and for the election of the structures of the Ubch mobilized more than 131 thousand Trujillo.
He described the participation in the state of Trujillo as memorable and recalled that 7,049 street structures were chosen, 1,889 community structures and 637 Ubch.
Meanwhile, Governor Gerardo Márquez pointed out with emotion that the “Bolivarian hurricane” was present in this act of swearing in the base leaders of the red awning.
“We come from elections, from a renewal of the structures of the party bases, we can proudly say that Trujillo has been one of the states with the greatest participation in this process,” he said.
In this sense, he thanked the mayors, the state political team, the liaisons, the auxiliary team and especially the people of Trujillo for “retaking the flags of the revolution, carrying forward the legacy of Commander Hugo Chávez.”
“The party is back in the streets, it is mobilized, moralized, our army is prepared for the 2024 elections; the revolution has a candidate and his name is Nicolás Maduro Moros, we are going with everything, ”he asserted.
Elected Trujillo residents also participated in the activity: Yamileth Pérez, the youngest street leader in the Valera municipality; José Atilio Mendoza, an 81-year-old senior and community leader with the most votes, as well as María Walda, head of Ubch with the most votes in the three election processes for the base structures of the PSUV; who expressed their interest and love of working for the revolution and for the people.
