Rodríguez: the ICC is a drag, salaried and slave of the gringos

«They are slaves. They are dragged. They are some of the gringos’ tariffs. “They are garbage,” this is how the president of the National Assembly, deputy Jorge Rodríguez, of the International Criminal Court, expressed himself for his silence in the face of the extermination and genocide committed against the people of Gaza and Palestine, as well as for his silence in the face of the attacks in the Caribbean by the US and the unilateral imperial sanctions applied to Venezuela.

«They are not there to dispense justice or to defend human rights. They are there to attack free people. They are there to make life miserable and ruin the lives of the countries that the United States orders them to ruin. And it is like that. What a coincidence that the vast majority of the cases that the International Criminal Court has opened refer to Africa, Russia, China, Venezuela and Iran (…) Because I imagine that then the United States is the world champion of the defense of human rights, especially right now what is happening inside the United States of America. And the champion of champions, the genocidal state of Israel. And that was the straw that broke the camel’s back,” said Rodríguez.

During the debate in the ordinary session this Tuesday on the defense of the Law for Palestine and Humanity (Law Repealing the Rome Statute), in accordance with the provisions of article 70 of the Internal Regulations and Debates of the National Assembly, the parliamentarian said that the ICC has not ruled on the more than 80,000 murdered and the more than 171,000 injured in Gaza by Israel. «And what has the International Criminal Court said? Nothing”.

He highlighted that 80% of the victims in Gaza are children.

The largest genocide in 70 years

“Continue to believe that Gaza is now fixed, that this is perfect, because it is curious that nothing more appears. And we want to insist on denouncing the greatest genocide that has occurred on this planet in the last 70 years, the greatest,” he publicly alerted the world.

National Assembly requests to withdraw Venezuela from the ICC

Rodríguez denounced the vassalage of the ICC representatives “the hypocrisy and absolute inaction” that they had against the genocide in Gaza and the genocide against the Palestinian people. “So that it remains a historical record that we are leaving that court as useless.”

«That is the main reason why we propose this law, which is nothing other than getting out of that blessed International Criminal Court, which only serves to attack us or make us masochists. That is to say, if we stay there, what we are doing is re-victimizing ourselves. It is the victim who accepts being a victim and who likes it. No (…) On the day of revictimization, Venezuelans were not born, and even less so were Venezuelan women,” he said.

He urged a firm call to stop the hypocrisy of the people, the power factors, the media and the organizations that claim to defend peace.

Rodríguez denounced that peace has been distorted, pointing out that even the Nobel Prize has been awarded to the person who has requested the military invasion against Venezuela, who has promoted warlike actions and has celebrated the murder of human beings in the Caribbean Sea.

He was blunt and unceremonious, predicting what Venezuelans think about this international penal organization that only serves imperial purposes: “We have defects, but we are not masochists. “Let those bugs from the International Criminal Court go to hell!”

Sanctions

The highest representative of the Legislative Power rejected the actions of the International Criminal Court on Venezuela, which is an organization subordinate to North American imperialism.

He highlighted that, to date, there have been 1,046 unilateral coercive measures imposed against the Venezuelan economy. He stressed that there were 40 thousand deaths in 2017 as a consequence of the unilateral coercive measures imposed against Venezuela, to which he asked: “Where was the International Criminal Court?”

He highlighted that just four months ago the Caribbean Sea, historically conceived as a space of peace, had been reaffirmed by the countries that share it as a zone free of conflict and the action of nuclear weapons, under agreements signed to guarantee regional stability.

In this context, Rodríguez denounced that today that same sea has become a field of horror, where more than 80 people have been murdered, exterminated and pulverized by United States military action.

Citgo

On the other hand, the president of the National Assembly, Jorge Rodríguez, specified that the theft that was perpetrated from the Simón Bolívar Foundation, belonging to Citgo Petroleum, affected a crucial program dedicated to providing specialized medical care to Venezuelan citizens abroad.

The foundation’s mission included improving the health of vulnerable people affected by disasters and conflicts, with special attention to children and mothers in Venezuela and other countries.

He pointed out that money was stolen from said program to be used, in large part, in the destabilization campaign against the country and for other improper purposes.

«But not only that those reals were stolen, but what did they use them for (…) The reals of the Simón Bolívar program, what were they used for? A large part for the conspiracy against Venezuela, to pay paid journalists, those who drool there in Miami, all of those were paid with the money from the Simón Bolívar program. To pay for prostitutes in bars in Miami and in Brickell and in Date (…) To pay for Juan Guaidó’s Penthouse in Miami, or who pays for it? We are not going to elaborate on Juan Guaidó’s work record again. He has not contributed even 1 week of social security (…) To pay for Julio Borges’ house, to pay for Dinora Figuera’s stay in Spain and to finance the extraordinary expenses of Mr. Leopoldo López in Spain, which are scandalous even for his own followers, the few they have. Do you find the July spending level of Leopoldo López and geographer Lilian Tintori scandalous? “It is the height of impudence,” explained Rodríguez.

The National Assembly will submit for approval this Thursday, December 11, the draft Law on Defense for Palestine and Humanity, which will allow Venezuela to withdraw from signing the Rome Statute with which it joined the ICC, in accordance with the provisions of article 70 of the Internal Regulations and Debates of the Legislative Branch.

“We will have this bill in second discussion next Thursday, December 11, so that it can be voted on by the National Assembly of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, and God willing, it can be approved,” said the president of the Legislative Branch, Jorge Rodríguez, after a prior consideration of the legal norm, carried out this Tuesday.
