Rodríguez: The electoral system of the IV Republic was imposed at the UCV

The president of the National Assembly (AN), Jorge Rodríguez, referred this Tuesday to the situation that is registered in the Central University of Venezuela (UCV), after running the elections for the authorities in the main house of study in the country.

“Regarding the electoral process of the Central University of Venezuela, there is only one positive fact, it is that a dictator, criminal, thief, and who was supported by many (of the opposition), has been evicted from the hole that she had made for herself. ” Rodriguez said.

The statements were made after the statements of a deputy from the opposition bench, who “highlighted” the elections held in the house of studies last Friday after its suspension.

“That is a fact that I admit as positive from what I have just heard,” he said.

In this regard, he indicated that the UCV Electoral Commission decided not to accept help or advice from the National Electoral Council (CNE) and stressed that until today the results were not known.

“Somehow they (the opposition) are trying to convince that the electoral elements that are not from the CNE are of excellence and absolute transparency,” he stressed.

It should be remembered that, over the weekend, the Electoral Commission published some “preliminary results” on its account on the social network Twitter, however, minutes later it deleted the publication, alleging that the results were not correct.

Another point to remember – indicated the president of the AN – is the way to publish the results, because the platform lacks efficiency and transparency.

At this point – he indicated – one of the candidates who will have to go to the second round to elect the rector of the UCV requested that the results transparently.

“To count 20,000 votes it took four days. This was the electoral system in the Fourth Republic and then it took weeks to burn the minutes and ‘minutes kill votes’, if you do not present the minutes the vote was useless. This was the Venezuelan electoral system in the Fourth Republic and this is the electoral system that was applied at the Central University of Venezuela,” said Rodríguez.

“What we UCV graduates should demand is that a truly democratic, transparent electoral system be created at the UCV,” added the parliamentarian.

abstention reigned

For his part, the deputy to the National Assembly for the Great Patriotic Pole (GPP), Ricardo Molina; He stressed the great abstention that the electoral process had, registering 89% of people who did not exercise their right to vote to elect the new authorities.

In the same way, it coincided with the declarations of the deputy Jorge Rodríguez, in which the UCV tried to impose the same system of the IV Republic, of the “act kills vote” because manual scrutiny of the same was not allowed.

“The privatizing vision of those who dominate the UCV, preferred to hire a private company, which did not allow the reading of the tickets, nobody saw the scrutiny. Practicing the custom of a fourth-republican that acts kill votes, they allow to see the acts, but not to audit votes, ”he stressed.

A new stage at the UCV

Molina stated that, after these elections, A new stage begins in the country in the maximum house of study.

“Now a new stage of the UCV begins, whoever they decide, whoever remains will have to face the new impetus of the students”; indicated the parliamentarian.

For this, he called on the students to build spaces for debate and thus stop the imposition of fascism in the UCV.

“Fascism cannot continue gaining spaces in the UCV, we must open spaces in the UCV. We must sign up for this new stage of the UCV, regardless of the results that are not a reflection of those who voted ”, he concluded.
