The president of the Senate, Andrónico Rodríguez, ratified this Monday that the bill to nationalize “chuto” cars in the country will not be discussed, due to the controversy of a measure of this type. The deputy of the Citizen Community (CC) Miguel Roca, designer of an initiative in this sense, said that this refusal only benefits corruption.

“It is not in the plans of our central government or of the Assembly (Legislative deal with the normative plan). Surely there will be some meetings, this generates a certain conflict within our country, with public transport, federated, which are legally established, “said Rodríguez.

However, he considered that this problem should be addressed at some point, because this sector is very large, does not pay taxes and uses the country’s highways.

Last month Roca presented a bill to legalize undocumented cars. The parliamentarian indicated that this would make the certification possible to collect taxes, it would end the smuggling of gasoline for these vehicles and it would also be a way to end corruption in some state entities.

“With the undocumented cars, only corrupt people linked to Customs, the Police, and with the issue of gasoline, corrupt people linked to Yacimientos, to the ANH, benefit. All of these are linked to the MAS and that is why it does not surprise me that the MAS does not want to give courses to this bill, ”he asserted.
