The president of the National Assembly (AN), Jorge Rodríguez, repudiated this Thursday the fifth Resolution No. (2023/2780/RSP) “On political disqualifications in Venezuela” promoted by the European Parliament.
During his participation in the ordinary session – in which the Draft Agreement was unanimously approved – Rodríguez stated that this resolution was promoted by the fugitive from justice, Leopoldo López Gil.
“You (the deputies) know this, because he is a drunk, an alcoholic, a thief who stole all the money from Fundación Ayacucho, the father of a murderer, a psychopath, Leopoldo López,” said the president of the Legislative Branch.
“This paper (referring to the resolution) that causes even not to answer it, but it turns out that it is our obligation, duty, that when the ancient Europe tries to attack the sovereignty, peace, and independence of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, must receive from the Venezuelans, the most forceful response and repudiation”, he added.
Rodríguez described as a compliment that the National Assembly is labeled as “illegitimate.”
“Let us consider a decoration that those who murdered more than 60 million of our grandparents, that the descendants of those who took 12.5 million human lives and stole it to take them as slaves, those of us who repudiate slavery, who repudiate colonialism, do not like us. . Never again slavery on this land, colonialism on this land,” he emphasized.
On the other hand, he asserted that representatives of the European Union will not touch Venezuelan soil again, while the revolutionary forces are part of the institutions, after different violations of agreements.
“No mission from Europe will come (to election days) while we are representatives of a Venezuelan institution because they violated the agreements,” he said.
In this sense, he urged the European Union to be concerned about the acts of corruption that may be taking place within Parliament, and about other situations that are taking place on the continent, such as the riots in France – due to the murder of a 17-year-old boy. years at the hands of the police – or the situation recorded by the conflict in Ukraine, where the EU has encouraged and supported the war and sanctions against Russia, affecting society.
“Take care of your own corruption (…) worry about the riots in France,” said the president of Parliament.
On the other hand, he once again demanded that the European Union return the assets and goods belonging to the Venezuelan people, and that are sequestered in financial institutions, as a result of the sanctions that have been promoted by the right and the West.
“Give us back the four billion dollars that are in the European financial institutions, give us back the gold held in England. They are ours, the people of Venezuela. These (the EU) representatives of civilization, blocked in June 202, the payment that President (Nicolás) Maduro made for the Covax mechanism for pandemic vaccines, ”he recalled.
In this regard, he denounced that this Wednesday, the fugitive from justice and former deputy of the AN, Juan Guaidó requested more sanctions against the Venezuelan people.
Agreement rejecting EU interference
The draft agreement rejecting the interventionist practices of the European Union was presented by the deputy to the AN, Rodolfo Sanz, who categorically rejected the new interventionist episode of the European Parliament, of the MEPs, in the sovereign policy of our Republic”.
In this sense, he recalled that different opponents are disqualified for acts of corruption and for the crime of treason against the homeland; the latter being sentenced to prison in several European countries.
“The political leaders who disqualified themselves, some for receiving appointments from foreign governments, which could have constituted the crime of treason, others for irregular handling of public funds, in the positions they held, and others for crimes of lesa de humanity, such as promoting the burning of people alive, promoting blockades and coercive measures,” he stressed.
In this regard – sharing the line of the president of the AN -, he urged the EU to promote measures and policies that help the continent from the “perverse war” that was activated in the continent and that is supported by the organization.
“MEPs, deal with the affairs of Europe, go redeem the poor, those who are paying for the war, which you promoted and support, that is what you must do”, he stressed.
Regarding the accusations of the European Parliament of attempting against the electoral system; The parliamentarian recalled that in Venezuela more than 25 elections have been held, all of them free, democratic, transparent and secret.
“Not second and third degree elections as in those countries (…) This is the country where the largest number of free elections have been held. The arguments used by the MEPs are used as a smoke screen, it is part of that policy that Europe wants to continue developing against Venezuela, ”she pointed out.
