“Venezuela seeks to open up new investment schemes and activate and exploit gas fields in order to turn the country into a world-class energy power,” VTV said on February 26 when reporting a meeting between Delcy Rodríguez and Shell company authorities.
Delcy Rodríguez, in charge of the national executive after the capture and extraction of Nicolás Maduro by United States special forces, met with representatives of the Shell company. The meeting took place this Thursday, February 26 at the Miraflores Palace, in the center of Caracas.
The objective of this meeting was to explore new investment opportunities and exploitation of gas fields in the country, which has the largest oil reserves and the fourth proven gas reserve in the world, reported the state channel, Venezolana de Televisión (VTV).
In it meeting Present were Adam Lowmass, Regional Vice President of Shell SA, the President of Global de Gas, Cederic Cremers, Elías Nucette, Vice President of Shell SA and Alfredo Urdaneta, representative of Shell SA in Venezuela.

On behalf of Venezuela, Héctor Obregón, president of Petróleos de Venezuela (PDVSA), participated in the meeting; Paula Henao, Vice Minister of Hydrocarbons; and Luis González, Vice Minister of Gas.
According to the VTV report, with this type of alliances, Venezuela seeks to open up new investment schemes and activate and exploit gas fields in order to turn the country into a world-class energy power.
