Rodríguez accuses María Machado of promoting a dirty campaign

The president of the National Assembly (AN), Jorge Rodríguez, denounced this Tuesday a dirty campaign, promoted by the right-wing pre-candidate Maria Corina Machado after the videos broadcast on social networks where you can see “producers” discarding their crops alleging impediments to market them.

“The candidate who ordered the dissemination of these videos is the one who has most requested a military invasion against Venezuela, war, assassination of the President of the Republic and toughening of the measures against the country,” Rodríguez accused during his participation in the session of the A.N.

In this sense, he recalled the “handbook” of María Corina Machado, who was an accomplice in the violent acts that have occurred in the country in recent years, as well as the call to the United States (USA) to invade Venezuela.

“It is the same file, they are dirty campaigns that seek political benefit, or electoral benefit. We must denounce, we have been very lukewarm with those who have called for invasions, attacks against the President of the Republic, we have to be more energetic, harsh in the treatment of those people who call for destruction and death”, he added.

The statements of the President of Parliament are given two days later that two people were arrested for throwing vegetables in the states of Mérida and Trujillo.

Regarding the state of Mérida, a man was arrested for destroying a large quantity of carrots by throwing them into a river, in Pueblo Llano in the state of Mérida.

For his arrest, a video published on social networks was used, where it is observed how the person – who responds to the name of Ysnet Rodríguez – was throwing away the harvest.

The Attorney General, Tarek William Saab, indicated that this person was also violating the Fair Prices Act.

The event in Trujillo state occurred last Saturday, when the Attorney General announced an investigation against a person who threw tomatoes into a river.

The video was also published on the social network Twitter and the man denounced that he did not have fuel to transport his products from Trujillo to Caracas.

For this investigation, the Office of the Prosecutor for Economic Crimes was appointed.

The prosecutor denounced another case where a man decided to throw away a crop of bananas due to lack of fuel to transport it to the destination.

On the other hand, the deputy Iris Varela, described as a “miserable strategy” to throw away food crops in good condition, only to generate anxiety in the country.

“It is a miserable strategy, because when one observes they are products of good quality. What peasant dares to throw away his harvest, it is a ignorance of our worthy peasants. It is clear that someone bought the crops to put on a show, to boycott food and take advantage of the electoral campaign, ”he stressed.

Likewise, Varela stressed that despite the sanctions, the Government continues to guarantee food and production in Venezuela.
