“This will be a legislative year dedicated to the approval of Laws for the people,” said the president of the National Assembly, Jorge Rodríguez, this Monday from the Francisco de Miranda room, when presenting the new Board of Directors of Parliament.
This is going to be a year of emphasis on the work of laws related to Popular Power, he said. Regarding the management of the AN, Rodríguez recalled that “in the 2021-2022 period it concluded with the approval of 59 laws, and in this new period we will continue working on the accompanying laws of our people“, he reiterated.
He pointed out that for this year 2023 they plan to approve another 22 laws, with special emphasis on laws related to People’s Power, as well as laws related to the approach to human care.
He also said that they want to insist on the laws for the judicial revolution, recalling that 11 laws have already been approved, but four remain to be approved.
He also indicated that they will continue to work on the accompanying laws in economic matters, supporting the new economic plan for the search, in this year 2023, of prosperity and the correction of inequities. And he pointed out that “the objective of this National Assembly in economic matters is to accompany the process that the Bolivarian Government has developed for the new economic era, and for the search for prosperity for all.”
In the same way, he insisted on the need for the National Assembly to go to the streets to listen to every man and woman who needs it. That the bills be discussed, that people know what is being dealt with in the AN, and what are the advantages derived from the approval of these laws for the people, he pointed out.
I repudiate fascism
Regarding the actions of violent groups in Brazil this Sunday, the deputy expressed the rejection of the National Assembly.
“We strongly repudiate the new expression of fascism, which unfortunately has become common in Latin American countries. It turns out and it happens that, when the right loses an election, when fascism loses an election (…) well, it resorts to coup actions, actions of aggression, actions intended to subvert the constitutional order, “he said.
In this regard, he recalled that Venezuela has witnessed many attempts to subvert the institutional order.
After reiterating the repudiation of the terrible acts of coup and fascist action in Brazil, he recalled that it was a scenario already seen in the United States, Peru, Honduras, Paraguay and Bolivia. “Every time the right has an adverse result in an election, it immediately begins to plan extra-constitutional mechanisms to act against what the people freely decided against through the popular vote,” he stated.
New directive reason for pride
When presenting to the new Board of Directors of the National AssemblyRodríguez stressed that “it is a source of pride for our people and the Blockade of the Homeland to present a new Board of Directors that is characterized by its loyalty, youth and capacity for work,” adding that they are destined to carry out important deployment work in the national territory during 2023.
Rodríguez highlighted the performance of Rosalba Gil in the Secretariat of the AN, and welcomed the new undersecretary, María Alejandra Hernández.
Later, he highlighted the trajectory of the first Vice President of the AN, the deputy for circuit number 1 of Caracas, Pedro Infante. Graduated in Physical Education in Sport, with a master’s degree, who has also served as Minister in the government of President Nicolás Maduro, has been Vice President of the Youth of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela, PSUV, and is currently the Vice President of organization of that awning. politics.
On the other hand, he pointed out that the second Vice President is a 29-year-old girl, América Pérez Davila, deputy for the state of Nueva Esparta. Pérez is a civil engineer from the National Experimental Technical University of the Bolivarian National Armed Forces, who is completing her master’s degree in Public Management. The new member of the Board of Directors of Parliament is director of the youth organization of the PSUV.
Actions against asset theft
On the other hand, the president of the National Assembly expressed his support for the constitutional actions of the Public Ministry against the former deputies who have stolen national assets, who, he pointed out, invented a whole lie to justify their illegal actions.
“They have resorted to resources that are essential for medicine, education, salary and social protection of our people,” he recalled in reference to the actions of these former deputies. He referred in this regard that they have stolen millions of dollars without anyone giving any kind of explanation.
He noted that at this point no one can deny the truth. «This is a moment in which it is completely confirmed that that pantomime was defeated. It is the total victory of the people», he said.
Deputy Jorge Rodríguez announced that, in light of these new situations, he will propose the restoration of a Special Investigation Commission that he considers necessary to accompany the work of the Public Ministry.
Live dialogue and in permanent review
In his speech, Deputy Rodríguez stressed that the dialogue led by President Nicolás Maduro is still alive and under permanent review.
In this sense, he recalled the meetings with opponents such as the Lápiz and Fuerza Vecinal parties, as well as the meetings in Mexico and the signing of the social agreement to recover the sequestered Venezuelan assets, about 3.2 billion dollars for health, education, electrical system national, risk attention, among others. A project designed by the national government that knows where the needs are and the wounds caused by the so-called sanctions.
Rodríguez pointed out that at this moment work is being done to land those agreements, which must be respected and fulfilled.
“I hope that by advancing in the execution of that social agreement that was signed in Mexico, the dialogue with that sector of the Venezuelan opposition will advance,” he said.
