Rodrigo Lara resigned from the Senate of the Republic

After spending 8 years in the Congress of the Republic and having resigned from his militancy in the New Liberalism party, Senator Rodrigo Lara also resigned from his seat in that corporation.

This decision is based on the fact that does not want to be disqualified from being able to aspire to a popularly elected position in the future like some Mayor or Governor’s Office, whose elections will take place next year throughout the country.

“I also want to express my satisfaction for the duty fulfilled. In 8 years of service to the country from Congress, I acted with absolute independence from the two governments that corresponded to me during this time. I was opposition when the conscience and the superior interest of the country dictated it to me, we support constructively when the circumstances required it, but we never deviate from the superior mandate of a parliamentarian, which consists of serving the people who elected us above the interests of a government”, he indicated in the resignation letter.
