The death of former presidential candidate and former senator of the Republic Rodolfo Hernández has hit his family hard, made up of his wife, children, grandchildren, siblings and his mother, who is still alive.

Apparently, Rodolfo Hernández’s mother is not aware of her son’s death because of the impact that the sad news could have on her, a family friend told Caracol Radio: “She really did not know and had not been told (anything) about the state of health of engineer Rodolfo. She was kept out of the loop about the state of health of her son.”
Due to her advanced age and the loss of a loved one, many have expressed concern for the health of Mrs. Cecilia Suárez, who in the 1930s started a family of four children with Luis Jesús Hernández Rojas.
His other children, Humberto, Alfonso and Gabrielgrew up in a peasant family in the municipality of Piedecuesta, Santander, who became owners of the Monteblanco tobacco factory.
Like her son Rodolfo Hernández, she has made investments in real estate. In addition, she is the owner, according to Caracol Radio, of one of the sugar mills that produces the most sugar cane in the department of Santander.
