Rocha receives the largest investment in its history to improve roads

The improvement plan for route 15 from the town of Velázquez to the city of Rocha consists of the widening of the road, the improvement in safety, the layout and the reduction of curves, “it is a phenomenal work,” said Falero, in press conference, this Friday the 16th.

In the morning, Minister Falero signed an agreement to reform the premises where the Karumbé project will operate, in the La Paloma spa, which is dedicated to rescuing marine species and developing workshops. For the completion of the works, the Ministry of Transport and Public Works (MTOP) will contribute 4,000,000 pesos.
The activity was witnessed by the National Director of Architecture, Santiago Borsari; the national director of Hydrography, Marcos Paolini, the general secretary of the Municipality of Rocha, Valentín Martínez, and the mayor of La Paloma, Sergio Muniz.
The ministry’s social agreements policy provides financial support and technical advice to institutions throughout Uruguay for the repair and expansion of their facilities.
