Rocha inaugurates the Batequitas-La Higuerita highway in Badiraguato

La Higuerita, Badiraguato, Sinaloa, December 22, 2022.- In order to reward the land where he was born, Governor Rubén Rocha Moya inaugurated the highway that goes from Batequitas, where he was precisely born and lived his childhood in the midst of poverty and many deprivations, until La Higuerita, which from now on will have a paved access road to the municipal seat of Badiraguato, passing through Las Higueras de Álvarez Borboa and La Majada de Abajo.

For Governor Rocha, it was not about the delivery of another new highway that comes to get small communities out of isolation, since here he lived firsthand with his family the poverty and lack of opportunities that forced his parents to emigrate to seek daily sustenance.

For this reason, the state president wanted his brothers Martha, Pablo, Antonio and Alfonso to be present, the latter who came from Hermosillo, and who, being the oldest, was in charge of transferring his mother from Batequitas to La Higuerita on a donkey. , which was the only family patrimony, in the almost six kilometers that separates both towns.

“Alfonso, now you can come by car, not by donkey, we already have a paved road,” he told his brother.

On the other hand, Governor Rocha announced that during his administration this highway will continue until it connects with the community of El Guasimal, which belongs to the municipality of Mocorito, and to begin with, he asked the Secretary of Public Works, José Luis Zavala Cabanillas, to At the beginning of the year, the tender is made to advance in a first section of four kilometers, from El Guasimal to El Limón.

“We were born in this land and in effect, we are trying to reward, but our land is all of Sinaloa where I have to govern, and that is why yesterday I went to El Progreso to hand over the road to Caitime, which is longer and gives us it cost 81 million pesos, this one cost us 43 million pesos, and that highway also has something to do with us, because from Batequitas we went to El Palmar de los Leal, I was there until the fourth year -of primary school- and fifth year I went to El Progreso, El Jalón, and they had also been asking for the highway there for many years, and we already did it in this first year of our government,” he said.

In the same way, he announced that in response to the request of the mayor of Badiraguato, José Paz López Elenes, the highway from Las Higueras de Álvarez Borboa to La Amapa will be built, which was the old road to reach the municipal seat, and which continues being dirt road.

* He announced that this highway will continue until it connects with El Guasimal, belonging to the municipality of Mocorito.

The state president referred to other large road projects at the door, such as the completion of the highway to San José del Llano and the highway that will connect Huixiopa with the Badiraguato-Parral highway, the latter, which is part of the great works of the President Andrés Manuel López Obrador, since an interstate axis will be created that will unite Sinaloa with Chihuahua, a project in which the State Government participates with a 13-kilometer stretch, investing 50 million pesos of its own resources.

When welcoming him, the municipal president of Badiraguato, José Paz López Elenes, thanked Governor Rocha for the inauguration of this new section of highway, since he publicly recognized that the first stage, which goes from Las Higueras de Álvarez Borboa to Batequitas, will be he achieved thanks to his management at that time as a senator of the Republic, which was built in the past state administration.

The technical explanation was given by the Secretary of Public Works, José Luis Zavala Cabanillas, who informed that the investment was 43.1 million pesos, in its 5.6 kilometers in length, and this highway is part of a package of 25 works carried out in the Badiraguato municipality, with a total investment of 200 million pesos.

The event took place at the entrance to the town of La Higuerita, right in front of the pantheon, where Governor Rocha recalled that he has buried three of his four maternal and paternal grandparents, and other relatives.

He was also accompanied by his children, Eneyda, president of the DIF Sinaloa System, Rubén, Ricardo and José Jesús, as well as the Secretary General of the Government, Enrique Inzunza Cázarez, a native of Batequitas, as well as the general director of Cobaes, Santiago Inzunza Cázarez, and the local deputies and deputies, Luz Verónica Avilés Rochín, Gloria Himelda Félix Niebla, Connie Zazueta, Cinthia Valenzuela Langarica, Celia Jáuregui, and Ambrosio Chávez Chávez.
