Culiacán, Sinaloa, December 27, 2024.- The State Government, headed by Rubén Rocha Moya, has dispersed more than 39,500 direct supports to vulnerable sectors of the economy in the municipalities of Culiacán, Navolato, Eldorado, Elota, Cosalá and San Ignatius. This was reported by the Secretary of Economy, Ricardo Velarde Cárdenas, during the morning conference of the Spokesperson of the State Government.
Velarde Cárdenas, who accompanied the Secretary General of the Government, Feliciano Castro Meléndrez, and the Undersecretary of Public Security, Leoncio Pedro García Alatorre, highlighted that the emerging economic program “Sinaloa Late Fuerte” has been key to economic reactivation, achieving tangible results thanks to collaboration between businessmen, municipal governments and citizens.
“In this stage of the program, we have provided more than 39,500 supports, including fishermen, with a total investment of 135 million pesos,” Velarde Cárdenas stressed.
The official explained that the support has consisted of individual amounts of 2,500, 5,000, 10,000, 15,000 and 20,000 pesos, in addition to credits of up to 50,000 pesos with a zero rate and six months of grace. The benefited sectors include small businesses, restaurants, street vendors, flea markets, market tenants, musicians, event organizers, party entrepreneurs, formal MSMEs, members of business chambers and fishermen.
On the other hand, the Secretary of Economy announced that the program will be extended to Concordia and the rural communities of Mazatlán, such as El Quelite and La Noria, with the delivery of new support for businesses and restaurants.
“The Governor has instructed us to expand the scope of the program to include Concordia and the rural area of Mazatlán, reinforcing our commitment to directly support those who need it most,” he said.
With these actions, the Government of Sinaloa reaffirms its commitment to promoting economic reactivation throughout the state and strengthening the local economy.
