Deputy Roberto Zúñiga of the Vamos party, speaking about the bill on the non-prescription of crimes against public administration, said that these acts rob young people of opportunities in the areas of employment, social issues, education and health.
Zúñiga said that the bill replaces alternative sentences such as house arrest and community service. He pointed out that if you commit a crime against public administration you will not be able to hold any public office ever again.
He referred to the draft law on amnesty and pardons; he said that it is a tailor-made law that seeks to confuse common crimes with political crimes. “This law only brings inequality to judicial processes.”
