The Minister of Foreign Trade and Tourism, Robert Sanchezconsidered that the complaint about plagiarism made against President Pedro Castillo is to seek a new vacancy request.
Speaking to the press upon his departure from the Government Palace, Sánchez Palomino pointed out that, after the statement by the César Vallejo University in which they rule out that there is alleged plagiarism in the thesis of the president and his wife, the issue has been closed.
“On this subject, the highest university authority where the academic degree was assigned has pronounced, we after this unobjectionable pronouncement, let’s say what other reason there may be to object to this degree there may be”, said.
“Then I think that what is worthwhile is to comment and tell the entire Peruvian people, the entire community, that this has been a pretext of this sector that does not resist democracy and who tries to invent supposed situations, then they seek to say that it is moral incapacity, mental incapacity to then try again a request for vacancy”, he expressed.
“Things are in order here, the president wrote thesis accordingly”he added.
The UCV version
The César Vallejo University (UCV) reported that the thesis made by President Pedro Castillo and his wife, Lilia Paredes, maintains its “contribution of originality” and that the percentage of similarity it maintains with other works remains within the parameters admitted by the house of studies.
During a press conference, in which the founder of the university, César Acuña, was present, the center for higher studies specified that the research document cannot be made public, since the approval of the authors is required.
“The commission has concluded that this thesis [de Pedro Castillo y Lilia Paredes] maintains its contribution of originality”stated Heraclio Campana Añasco, academic vice-chancellor of the César Vallejo University, during the press conference held this Thursday in Trujillo.
