Chiabra specified that the president Dina Boluarte he had to remove Becerra from office as soon as possible.
In conversation with RPP, Chiabra expressed discomfort with the presence of Óscar Becerra in Alberto Otárola’s cabinet and stated that he did not understand his appointment. “I don’t understand if there aren’t qualified people in Education, do not have any questions. What a bad habit of placing people who have questions in ministerial positions,” reproached the legislator.
“I believe that there, again, the prime minister and the president have made a mistake because that minister does not start well. I think he should just be removed quickly, ”explained the APP parliamentarian.
Likewise, he criticized the permanence of Becerra, as he alleged that, if Dina Boluarte has already removed a prime minister in 10 days, “she can easily remove a minister from Education that, with these questions, the first thing they are going to ask is where are the tablets they bought at that time”.
Despite his disagreement, he will vote in favor of the Otárola cabinet
However, Chiabra does not rule out the possibility of giving a vote of confidence to the cabinet of Prime Minister Luis Alberto Otárola, who announced that he would appear before Congress between January 6 and 10 of next year.
“I believe that the condition (to give him confidence) is going to be the presentation of the general government plan. If it is a specific plan, with goals and deadlines of one year, that we can control, supervise, I think there will be no problem,” Chiabra clarified.
