The Bolivian Sports Automobile Federation (Febad) postponed until the end of the month the test to compete in the Circuit Orurosecond date of the National Championship, due to the social problems that exist in different parts of the country.
“It is a determination at the request of the pilots that was accepted by the presidents of the associations. We did this for security, due to the blockades in Sucre, Potosí and also in Santa Cruz. The race is postponed,” said René Céspedesvice president of Febad.
The Oruro test was scheduled for this weekendbut in the meeting that took place between the new members of the board of directors: Edwin Gutiérrez, Céspedes, Rodney Puch (general director of the National Sports Commission) and Erwin Quiroga (national sports inspector), in addition to the presidents of associations, that decision was made. “We reschedule it for the end of the month,” said Céspedes.
The board of directors will meet again next Tuesday to restructure the calendar approved last year by the previous authorities.
“The powers will also be restructured. It will be one per month and not every 15 days. It will be restructured in the best possible way so that there are guarantees of participation from the drivers, because (every 15 days) there will be no car that can withstand that long streak”, pointed out Céspedes.
Everything will be made official at the Ordinary Congress that will take place in Oruro, prior to the national competition.
