A management and signaling program in the district of Santiago is being implemented by the Land Traffic and Transportation Authority (ATTT), revealed the director of the entity in the province of Veraguas, Carlos Reyes.
The official explained that a signage program has already been started for drivers and that pedestrians can move safely, said implementation is located on the entire Avenida Héctor Santo Coloma, Calle 10ª and Avenida Central.
“It is recommended that all road users make responsible use, that is, drivers who respect the signs that are being installed, and also pedestrians, who also make use of the pedestrian crossings that are being established, precisely , to give the user security” he emphasized.
Likewise, the ATTT will be presenting another project to the authorities of the Municipality of Santiago and the Chamber of Commerce of Veraguas to resolve the road conflict in the area of Avenida Central, specifically where the Santiago Apóstol Church is located. Said project will not include the use of traffic light devices, since in this case, road congestion would worsen.
The main objective of this project is to look for alternatives that allow us to give fluidity to vehicles through the use of urban planning techniques.
