The shortage of dollars, coupled with the rise in prices of basic goods, the lack of fuel and the late response to the fires, motivated the peasants of the Túpac Katari Single Trade Union Federation of Workers, to the members of the CNational Federation of Micro and Small Business (Conamype Bolivia) and the transport sector join forces to carry out the roadblocks starting this Monday in La Paz.
The instructions for the mobilizations of the sectors were socialized among their members, and also disseminated through social networks, where they confirmed that they will take to the streets not only demanding attention to their demands, but also demanding the resignation of President Luis Arce Catacora and Vice President David Choquehuanca.
David Mamani, leader of the peasants of the Single Trade Union Federation of La Paz ‘Túpac Katari’, assured that from midnight on Monday, September 16 they will mobilize “until Arce and Choquehuanca resign.”
The leader of the Evista wing received the Support from the peasant union ‘Ponchos Rojos’, so they will go out to block at least four points: the cHuarina road in the Lago and Huanta sector; the Kala Chaka Barracks, Achacachi sector and Mallku Sector; in the Warisata sector, Corpaputo on the road to Cruce Peñas and the fourth rally at the Umacha junction, Ancoraimes Subfederation.

“They showed ‘inability’ to sustain our population with the constant increases in the prices of the family basket, the 100% increase in inputs, the dollar shortage, the fuel shortage, the lack of economic recovery, which leads us to not comply with bank and tax credits. To date The authorities do not provide a real solution to our demands,” the micro-entrepreneurs’ instructions emphasize.
They determined censusto the National Government by denouncing inefficiency in control the rise in prices of the family basket, supplies, the interference in our organizations, in addition to rejecting the mockery of the Minister of Productive Development and Plural Economy Néstor Huanca Chura to the sector.
They also call on the Government to declare a natural disaster due to the fires that are consuming the Chiquitania and all of eastern Bolivia.
They also announced a march to ‘save Bolivia’, which will take place on Tuesday, September 17, leaving from Carachollo towards the Government Headquarters.
Another sector that pledged its support was the transportation sector, as confirmed by the leader of the El Alto transporters, Hugo Domingo Ramos.
