River receives Gymnastics with two objectives: raise their level and continue winning

The doubt in River for this Sunday is the return of Enzo Pérez in the midfield after recovering from a strain.

River Plate will be local this Sunday against Gimnasia La Plata with the aim of raising their level of play, which despite the good results achieved is not the same as before, and add the three points, in a match for the fifth date of the Copa de the Professional League.

The match will take place at the Monumental Stadium, starting at 7:15 p.m., with Hernán Mastrángelo refereeing and Fox Sports televising. Tickets are sold out so the presence of 72,000 spectators is expected.

River continues to make a difference at the local level, adding 10 units, beating San Lorenzo as a visitor and then thrashing Deportivo Laferrere to continue in the Argentine Cup.

The doubt in River for this Sunday is the return of Enzo Pérez in the midfield after recovering from a hamstring strain in his right leg suffered against Racing or the entry of Bruno Zucculini in his place.

Gimnasia, with Néstor Gorosito as coach, got off to a good start with a draw at the Cilindro against Racing and the home win against San Lorenzo, but they have now gone three games without winning with two points out of a possible nine.

The La Plata team has a competitive team with a good offense. Today will have the forced absence of Brahian Aleman, who will not play as he is suspended. He will replace him – making his debut as a starter – Tomás Muro, 20, with the Colombian Johan Carbonero and Cristian Tarragona as forwards.

In the general record, River and Gimnasia played 159 times with a clear River Plate advantage of 85 wins against 33 and 41 draws. The Platenses have not won in the Monumental for 17 years, since they won the Apertura 2005, by 3 to 1.
