Brazilian singer, songwriter, writer and activist Rita Lee has been discharged from hospital and is recovering at home. The information comes from the singer husband, Roberto Carvalho, who published a photo of her on social networks, this Saturday night (4), with the caption “home”.
Rita Lee, 75 years old, had been hospitalized since the last 24th at Albert Einstein Hospital, in São Paulo, to treat lung cancer. In May 2021, during a check-up at the same hospital, the singer was diagnosed with a primary tumor in her left lung and started treatment with immunotherapy and radiotherapy.
In the last note released, Rita Lee’s family thanked people for their affection. “Like anyone who has gone through or is going through cancer treatment, hospitalizations for tests and evaluations may be necessary. The family appreciates the affection, certain of the respect for privacy, as established from the beginning”.
