The Municipal Health Department of Rio de Janeiro (SMS Rio) announced this Sunday (18) the availability of new vaccination points for Rio de Janeiro residents against diseases such as measles, covid-19 and flu, in different locations in the city, until February 12th.
The measure began last Thursday (15) and reinforces the strategy of taking the vaccine to citizens, in places where there is a large public circulation, facilitating access to immunization.
Vaccines against covid-19, flu, yellow fever, MMR (which protects against measles, mumps and rubella) and hepatitis B are available, in addition to Santos Dumont Airport, at the new extra vaccination points:
- Realengo Susana Naspolini Park, in Realengo, 22nd and 30th;
- Antonio Carlos Jobim – Galeão International Airport, on Governador Island, from January 21st to February 12th;
- Pavuna Park, in Pavuna, January 22nd;
- Rita Lee Park, in Barra Olímpica, on the 22nd, 27th and 29th of this month;
- Parque Oeste, Inhoaíba, west zone, 22nd, 27th and 29th;
- Parque Madureira, in the neighborhood of the same name, on the 29th;
- Parque Piedade, in Piedade, on the 21st, 24th and 30th of January.
The secretariat also informed, through its press office, that the vaccines are also available in 240 Primary Care units, family clinics and municipal health centers, in addition to the Super Carioca Vaccination Center, Botafogo units (opening from Sunday to Sunday, from 8am to 10pm) and Campo Grande (at ParkShoppingCampoGrande, operating from Sunday to Sunday, according to the shopping center’s opening hours).
If in doubt, the agency recommends that citizens can seek out a health unit for appropriate assessments and guidance.
